The over-arching design philosophy behind all of Colin Montgomerie’s designs is to work closely with natural characteristics of each site. 
The 148-yard, par-3 16th, which plays to a slightly elevated green, framed by two of the course’s deepest bunkers and back-dropped by the azure East Sea and lush Cham Islands. 
The golf course is set amongst some very interesting, rolling sand dunes with elevation changes from 4 metres to 11 metres.
